Graduate Marketing Executive – Retail & Distribution Division

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication, and a high standard of organisational and time management skills. Excellent copy writing skills are essential, as is a good understanding of social media and online marketing, the ability to work to deadlines and a willingness to develop and progress.

Social Media Management & Activation

  • Planning/creating social media content and maintaining channels for MGM Timber, Plane & Simple, TimberCut4U and Nu-Style
  • Monitoring brand mentions/comments and responding and/or converting to CGC
  • Research and monitor competitors, industry news and bodies

Email Marketing

  • Ability to produce and manage email campaigns which includes managing subscriber contact data in line with GDPR, drafting/uploading content and distributing email campaigns

PR Support & Copywriting

  • Drafting initial content for review for PR campaigns, news stories and social channels
  • Identifying and resizing relevant imagery to support our content/PR plans

Website

  • Updating content and imagery on websites, updating/creating product pages, blogs, etc. Full CMS training will be provided
  • Monitoring and reporting on Google analytics metrics

Events

  • Planning and assisting with the execution of events including exhibitions and in-branch activities, i.e. open days
  • Research relevant events and make recommendations on attendance

General

  • The ability to build and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Donaldson Group and family of businesses
  • The ability to liaise with agency partners and suppliers on multiple projects as part of agreed strategy
  • Happy to get ‘stuck in’ to support the team with what is required i.e. Ad-hoc marketing requests, relevant admin work
  • The ability to analyse and evaluate sales and marketing activity and reporting on ROI
  • Support internal departments with any marketing requests to ensure effective, on brand communications – this can be across a range of media including print and online
  • Ensuring all marketing materials are up to date, current and on brand using Adobe software (In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop) this includes brochures, documents, graphics and promotional materials. Adobe Creative Cloud experience is desirable but not essential
  • The ability to work well independently as well as an involved member of the team

The role allows a hybrid of remote and office-based work at our head office in Glenrothes (Fife) with an expectation to spend sufficient time with the direct team to ensure the successful application of the role.
